Alfa Romeo Spider Mille Miglia 2008
Alfa Romeo in a historical re-enactment entitled ‘Mille Miglia 2008’, assuming the role of joint presenting sponsor. The ‘finest race in the world’ – as Enzo Ferrari famously termed it – will set off in Brescia on 15 May and return to the same city on 17 May, after crossing Italy and taking in the historical centres of the some of the most lovely towns in Italy.
Each of the 11 Mille Miglia is equiped with a silver plate bearing details of one of the victories won by Alfa Romeo between 1928 and 1947. Distinguished by the exclusive body colour ‘Rosso 8C’ and a ‘Quadrifoglio’ logo on the wing, the Alfa Spider Mille Miglia cars boast special interiors trimmed with black leather with red top-stitching and are equipped with the mighty 260 bhp3.2 V6 units and the Electronic Q2 system.
The Mille Miglia Special Edition will still be powered by the standard 3.2-liter V6 engine producing 260 hp. Each of the special edition will be fitted with a silver plate fixed between the two seats bearing the name of one of the victory vehicles with black leather upholstery and red stitching on the interior.

Alfa Romeo has created a special edition of its Spider convertible in order to commemorate the historic Mille Miglia 1,000 mile race that takes place in Italy annually. The carmaker will build just 11 examples of the ‘Spider Mille Miglia’ to mark the 11 victories it’s had in the famous Italian race, which heralded the rise of the original sports grand tourer.
While there are no performance increases, the Spider Mille Miglia is based on the standard 3.2 V6 powerplant that outputs 260hp. Rather than performance upgrades, each special edition features a silver plate that outlines one of Alfa Romeo’s victories between 1928 and 1947. The special edition Alfa also gets an exclusive, bright red paintjob called ‘Rosso 8C’ and a ‘Quadrifoglio’ logo (a four-leaf clover) on its front side, as well as red stitching for the black leather seats.
